1. American Airlines and US Airways Merger Likely






A merger between American Airlines and US Airways will likely be

announced next week, according to several recent reports. The new

company will reportedly be based in Fort Worth, Texas.






2. Armstrong to Testify on Under Oath on Doping






Disgraced cyclist Lance Armstrong has agreed to testify under oath to

anti-doping investigators about his knowledge of doping in cycling.

Armstrong agreed to a deal to testify after learning he was the target

of a criminal investigation.










3. FAA Approves Dreamliner Test Flight






The FAA has approved a test flight from Texas to Washington State to

allow Boeing to test the batteries onboard its troubled 787 Dreamliner

aircrafts. United Airlines has taken the anes out of its flying plans

for the remainder of the month.






4. Northeast Preparing for Massive Storm






The Northeast is gearing up for what could be a massive winter storm at

the end of this week, particularly in parts of New England. The

Nor'easter will intensity Friday afternoon, with some forecasts

projecting several feet of snow.






5. Gov. Christie Lashes Back at Physician






New Jersey Governor Chris Christie has lashed back at a former

presidential physician who said she is worried he might have a heart

attack because of his weight. Christie called the doctor a "hack" and

said her comments were irresponsible.
